Ophir Creek: 6.2015
Ophir Creek headwaters are the Carson Range's Tahoe Meadows. The creek begins its flow on the north side of the Highway 431/Mt. Rose Highway bisection. After meandering through the wetland's percolated springs, Ophir Creek drops precipitously down the side of Slide Mountain for roughly six miles, encountering Price and Rock lakes along the way before emptying into Washoe Lake, the headwaters for Steamboat Creek.
